Russell Roof Tiles is making its debut at the leading
national event Housing 2025 where it will be showing its new
small-format multifunctional triple tile,
Bute3®. Housing
2025 (24th – 26th June) at Manchester Central is a
top-level event that brings together specialists from the
housing and living sectors to discuss current challenges,
collaborate and explore new solutions. The revolutionary
roof tile is now in full production and is the culmination of
years of detailed design and planning, meticulous modern
manufacturing, and technical expertise. The design and colour
options of the thin leading-edge tile provide a real
alternative to small-format concrete, natural clay, and slate
roof coverings. |

Alan Young, Regional
Sales Director of Russell Roof Tiles, comments: “We are
pleased to unveil this hugely significant new product at
Housing 2025. Bute3® is being produced at our new £18.5
million fully automated production line in Burton on Trent.
Utilising the latest pioneering technology and precision
modern engineering, we have created the UK’s first
multifunctional interlocking triple roof tile. |
“We have invested in not only meeting market demands but also
offering solutions and new ideas. Our latest product provides
speed, flexibility, and environmental benefits. We are proud
to have developed a new product that will revolutionise the UK
pitch roofing market, in particular the private and social
housing markets.” |
Bute3® uses 60 years
of knowledge from the specialist concrete roof tile
manufacturer, combined with the wealth of expertise from
supplying the UK’s housing and commercial market. The
interlocking triple tile is fully compliant with quality
standards and current regulations, whilst meeting market
demands. |
Seven colour options
are available, offering a broad range of options to meet local
planning requirements as well as being sympathetic to the
local aesthetic. |
The size of the tile
means that it can be delivered to building sites more
efficiently, with up to 40 per cent fewer deliveries across a
typical private housing site and using the state-of-the-art
production process is 20 per cent more efficient to
manufacture compared to similar tiles. |
Bute3®’s triple-tile
format allows for exceptional coverage, with only 10.9 tiles
required per square metre, significantly reducing the number
of tiles needed compared to traditional plain tiles. This
makes them 33 per cent quicker to install when compared to
other thin leading-edge interlocking tiles and offers a labour
saving of up to 40 per cent. |
Russell Roof Tiles
is a leading independent concrete roof tile manufacturer
supplying products for national housebuilders and high-profile
social housing and commercial projects. The company produces
hundreds of thousands of tiles and related fittings and
accessories every week that are used on pitched roofs across
