| ITP’s FlameOut Block vapour
control layer was specified for the new extension at EKC
Sheppey College, a key component of the £20 million Sheerness
Revival project. The new 900 m² facility is providing
state-of-the-art teaching spaces for engineering, creative
media, and logistics courses, offering local students access
to high-quality skills training and supporting the development
of future talent in the area. |

| The construction of
the extension is being overseen by Jenners Contractors Ltd,
with Apex Facades, a leading specialist contractor,
responsible for the installation of FlameOut Block. The
membrane has been selected for its ability to enhance the
performance, durability, and safety of the building envelope.
It provides Euroclass B-s1, d0 flame-retardant performance,
ensuring that the material meets regulatory requirements for
higher-risk applications. Its high vapour resistance protects
the insulation layer from moisture ingress, helping to prevent
interstitial condensation and supporting the long-term
efficiency of the building’s thermal envelope. |

FlameOut Block also features a reinforced scrim, giving it
excellent tensile strength and making it easier and more
reliable to install in demanding construction conditions. By
supporting airtightness and energy-efficient performance, the
membrane contributes to both the comfort of the building’s
occupants and the sustainability credentials of the
development. |
