Uniline Safety Systems Celebrate 10 years in business with a
gruelling charity fundraiser. |
 |
|
Engineered fall protection specialists, Uniline Safety
Systems will celebrate 10 years in business this year, by
taking on the infamous Three Peaks of Ben Nevis, Scafell
Pike and Mount Snowdon to raise funds for UNICEF’s “Child
Well Being” campaign. |
|
In the early hours of the 24th
June 2010 the team made up of Uniline employees and
customers will commence the endeavour, aiming to climb the
three peaks and cycle between them, covering around 500
miles, all in a period of 95 hours. |
|
Uniline’s Team welcomes
sponsorship from the industry and has set up a link from its
website to a ‘Just Giving’ web page. Corporate & Individual
sponsorship is welcome and the company aims to raise £4000
for UNICEF. |
|
Uniline’s Managing Director,
Simon Luke comments. “Reaching 10 years in business is quite
a milestone and doing something as meaningful as this event
seemed to be a great way to celebrate and remember all of
our past achievements. The company employs a number of keen
cyclists and mountain climbers, so the event seemed to be a
good choice and we have stamped green credentials on the
event by using bikes instead of cars to travel the route.
Personally, I am neither a cyclist nor a mountain climber,
so my own training regime will be quite a challenge. I am
however committed to supporting everyone and intend to take
part in the whole event. I will enjoy raising a glass with
the team to celebrate when we reach the peak of Mount
Snowdon on the last day, albeit I may have to be carried up
the last leg!” |
|
Uniline chose UNICEF to benefit
from the event because of they great work they do with
children all over the world and this past year in particular
has seen some atrocious disasters that affects the lives of
children, leaving them without homes and families or hope. |
