Building components manufacturer Steadmans has recruited a
sales and marketing director to strengthen the company’s
senior management team and prepare the business for its next
stage of controlled growth. |
 |
| Ian
Hodgson joins Steadmans from Kingspan where he was sales
director for structural products at its Sherburn site in
North Yorkshire, formerly known as Wards. Ian worked for the
company for over 30 years and as a result has a deep
knowledge and understanding of the UK roofing, cladding and
structural products industry. |
|
Steadmans commercial director,
Jonathan Kennedy, said: “Ian’s role is to further develop
our business and ensure that it remains to be dynamic,
innovative and responsive to the needs of the markets we
serve. His appointment will allow us to move forward and
ensure that we continue to provide the top quality products
and levels of service our customers demand.” |
|
As a result of Ian’s
appointment, Jonathan has taken on the new role of
development director at Steadmans from April 2010. In
effect, Ian will undertake the responsibilities of the
company’s commercial director whilst Jonathan focuses on new
product development and special projects for Steadmans. |
|
Ian commented: “Steadmans has a
great reputation within the industry and is perfectly placed
to develop further thanks to the ability of its people and
the versatility of its existing and planned product
portfolio. My intention is to build upon these strong
foundations by implementing a combined customer growth and
new business strategy that will create more opportunities
for the business across the British Isles.” |
|
Employing 150 people and with a
turnover of £35m, Steadmans manufactures a wide range of
products including insulated roof and wall panels, profiled
metal cladding, cold rolled structural sections and
ancilliary components. The company also has operations in
Banbridge, Northern Ireland, and Livingston, Scotland. |
