On Friday 11 August Richard Soan organised his annual charity race day at Brighton Racecourse in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust and Whoopsadaisy, a small Brighton based charity. Richard Soan Roofing Services Raises £35,000.00 for Teenage Cancer Trust and Whoopsadaisy
The event was yet another success with over 500 people sat down for a three course lunch, who then enjoyed an afternoon of racing.
Fundraising occurred throughout the afternoon with some very generous bids for the auction items.
Richard said “this event just get bigger and bigger each year. I can remember when I first started organising this day and we had ninety people in attendance. What amazing support we now receive for two very worthy causes”.

Teenage Cancer Trust

Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young people aged between thirteen and twenty-four who have been diagnosed with cancer.
Teenage Cancer Trust know there is a need for teenagers to be treated together by teenage cancer experts in an environment tailored for them.
Cancer doesn’t just affect the patient. Its impact is felt by the whole family and those around them. By understanding how cancer affects their life and providing a range of services that support those around them Teenage Cancer Trust is helping support all of the young person’s needs.
Whoopsadaisy
Whoopsadaisy is a Brighton based charity helping children with Cerebral Palsy and similar motor disorders to live life as independently as possible.
Whoopsadaisy provides weekly conductive education sessions which help children develop their physical, social and communication skills. The children work hard towards big goals such as learning to crawl, sit unaided or eat and drink by themselves with every little step along the way boosting their confidence and independence.
