| Dave
Schofield has been appointed commercial manager for SIG
Design & Technology based at Shepshed with immediate effect.
He goes straight into a brand new position which has been
created as part of dramatic business growth at D&T over the
last two years. |
 |
|
Dave’s initial responsibility at D&T was as implementation
manager for the IKO Armourplan PVC category introduction in
the summer of 2010. With the successful partnership with IKO
now firmly in place, his role has broadened to incorporate
all commercial management of the D & T business including
sales, margin, net profit, order capture, special offers,
pricing and support. |

Over the last two decades, Dave
has learned his craft in the roofing and builders merchants
sectors. He was formerly area director for Keyline Builders
Merchants and transformed many branches into high performing
businesses many under-performing branches into successful
businesses. |
|
Following merchanting Dave also
made a key contribution to the manufacturing sector by
building the award winning Plasterboard Direct with Eternit
UK. The newly established brand imported full loads of
commodity product and distributed to independent merchants
and specialist stockists. |
|
Coincidentally, Plasterboard
Direct was a business built alongside Mike Crook, the then
marketing director at Eternit, now the Trading Director with
SIG Design & Technology. |
