Another leading homebuilder has used two of Sandtoft’s clay
tiles to roof an entire development. Ben Bailey Homes (now
part of The Gladedale Group) specified Sandtoft’s 20/20 and
Humber tiles for The Park in Mansfield, citing both tiles’
strong aesthetics and production from natural clay, as well
as the design freedom offered by the wider Sandtoft range,
as being instrumental in their choice. |

Joan Meakin, Senior Buyer at
Gladedale, commented: “We looked at Sandtoft tiles for this
development due to the wide range of styles and materials
offered by their product portfolio. We were intent on using
tiles that not only offered superior aesthetics in order to
complement the overall finish of the properties, but that
were also made from a natural material rather than concrete
or fibre cement. As both 20/20 and Humber are made from clay
and look absolutely stunning on the roof, they met the brief
perfectly.” |

The Park is a mixed development
of 5 bed executive houses, apartments and conversions
situated in a quiet, established, tree-lined location. The
properties have been in great demand since their
construction and all but two have already sold. Judging by
feedback from the new residents, the roofs in particular
have been well received. |

Joan Meakin continues: “The
tiles used at The Park have surpassed expectation in every
way - and especially from an aesthetics point of view.
Everyone comments on the how good the roofs look and as a
result, we now use this particular development as a
showcase.” |
