Pittsburgh Corning, the manufacturer of FOAMGLAS®cellular glass insulation has announced a technical collaboration with PERMAQUIK® the hot melt roofing membrane from Radmat Building Products. When specified together, the two products ensure a high performing and durable system, guaranteed to last the lifetime of the building. New Roofing Collaboration Offers Long Term Benefits
Both FOAMGLAS® and PERMAQUIK ® offer superb credentials in terms of durability.
Once installed, FOAMGLAS® should never require replacement, and the combined system comes with a warranty of up to 35 years. This means installing the two products together provides specifiers absolute confidence in the longevity and performance their roofing system.
Manufactured from 68% recycled glass and sand, FOAMGLAS® comprises millions of hermetically sealed glass cells meaning it is completely inert and impervious to vapour. Available with a thermal performance guarantee, FOAMGLAS® will not lose its K-Value for the entire life of the product.
PERMAQUIK is a hot melt and fully bonded polymer modified liquid membrane frequently specified and gathering support as the first choice waterproofing product for many clients. Suitable for both new build and refurbishment projects, the seamless fully adhered membrane eliminates water tracking and can self-heal if damaged. The list of complete contracts is impressive and includes the award winning Manchester Civil Justice centre and the vast roof of the Westfield shopping centre in London.
"The decision to collaborate with Radmat Building Products is part of a corporate strategy from Pittsburgh Corning to partner with a variety of premium roofing solution providers," explained Paul Jones, Managing Director of Pittsburgh Corning UK.
