Knauf Insulation's core glass and rock mineral wool range
has now been unified under a single name - Earthwool.
Replacing Knauf Insulation's Crown and Rocksilk brands,
Earthwool represents the ultimate solution for any
application, whilst offering superior levels of
sustainability. |
 |
|
Building on the already outstanding performance and value of
mineral wool, Earthwool utilises the ground-breaking binding
process of ECOSE® Technology to enhance these qualities to
create a new generation of products with unprecedented
levels of usability and sustainability. |
|
Earthwool also offers
significant improvements to traditional mineral wool in
terms of feel, handling and environmental performance. |
|
Knauf Insulation products with
ECOSE Technology are made with a formaldehyde-free binder
derived from rapidly renewable, bio-based materials, instead
of traditional petro-based chemicals, which reduces embodied
energy and delivers superior environmental sustainability.
The insulation produced doesn't look or feel like any other
insulation. It is naturally brown in colour as there are no
artificial colours or dyes added and it produces a ‘super
softer’, odourless and easier to handle insulation. |
|
Earthwool represents the very
best in insulation: Outstanding sound absorption properties
help to reduce unwanted noise, non-combustible with an
unbeatable A1 fire classification, high thermal resistance
and superb energy efficiency performance. |
|
“The development of ECOSE®
Technology was revolutionary and has led to a new kind of
mineral wool insulation, now easily identifiable under the
Earthwool name. Under this single identity is the most
comprehensive range of mineral wool products for specifiers
and contractors offering levels of sustainability that we
can all feel good about,” explains John Sinfield managing
director at Knauf Insulation. |
|
Signalling the enhancement to
their new mineral wool products, Knauf Insulation has also
converted to transparent packaging so merchants and their
customers can not only ‘feel’ but also ‘see’ the difference
of their new insulation. |
