Kingspan Insulated Panels has
always been at the forefront of pioneering energy efficient
building solutions, and is launching their latest innovation
at the prestigious Energy and Environment Conference held at
the Business Design Centre, London on 30th March. The new
Kingspan PowerPanel systems combine the latest photovoltaic
(PV) technology with the guaranteed performance of
Kingspan’s insulated roof, wall and façade panels. |

Photovoltaic (PV) systems
generate clean, inflation proof electricity, reduce energy
costs and can generate electricity to be fed into the
national grid, allowing the building owner to benefit from
the feed-in tariff system. Even if the sky is overcast, some
types of PV are still proven to produce electricity. |

Kingspan PowerPanel Systems
consist of three different product offerings, including
polycrystalline silicon modules for roofs and walls and a
thin film solar laminate for roofs: |
- Roof Glaze – KS1000 RW
Trapezoidal profile insulated panel with a
Polycrystalline module fixed directly to the crowns.
- Wall Glaze – A
Polycrystalline module fully integrated with Kingspan
Complete Wall & Façade Systems.
- Roof Laminate – A range
of insulated roof panels manufactured with a thin film
solar laminate adhered directly to the surface.

The advantages of these systems
are that there is a single-source integrated roof, wall,
facade and solar PV provider. Kingspan offers a full project
analysis / viability, design, supply, installation, testing,
commissioning and handover service. The systems are
optimised and value-engineered for rapid installation, and
provide maximised investment return and ‘feed-in tariff’
income. |

Once installed the systems are
virtually maintenance free, and most importantly they are
available with the comprehensive Kingspan Total Guarantee.
