| Leading
architectural aluminium systems supplier Kawneer has further
enhanced its AAź540 window range, which combines value for
money with a BRE Green Guide A rated frame*, with
side-hung and bottom-hung variants of its tilturn system.
|
 |
| The new AAź543
side-hung and bottom-hung open-in variants join the original
AAź543 tilturn (tilt for ventilation and turn for cleaning)
and an AAź541 casement and AAź542 pivot window to make the
range even more flexible for projects where cost is a key
driver. |
|
The range suites with Kawneers AAź100 and AAź110 curtain
walling, 451PT framing and door systems to give specifiers
and architects ultimate flexibility for new-build and
refurbishment projects in the education, healthcare,
commercial, retail and residential sectors, particularly in
high-rise applications. |
|
The new side-hung and bottom-hung open-in variants use the
same multi-chamber thermal break core as their older sister.
This ensures thermal efficiency (U values down to 1.5W/mČK)
and full compliance with Document L, while optional trickle
ventilation also helps meet the requirements of Document F. |
|
And in line with the range philosophy of complementing the
increasing demand for environmentally-friendly window
systems with aesthetic but highly secure building products,
the AAź543 open-in turn-only is independently tested to BS
7950:1997 Amendments 1, 2 and 3. In addition, the full
opening in the turn position offers an escape route in an
emergency (subject to size). |
|
A pressure equalised system gives both the AAź543 side-hung
and bottom-hung open-in variants excellent weather
performance independently tested to BS 6375-1: 2009 and they
are also compliant with Operation and Strength Test BS
6375-2: 2009. |
