Taking an uninspiring 1960s bungalow and turning it into an
award-winning two-storey property took vision and
commitment. |
 |
|
Topping off the property, just south of Reading, is the
Collingwood Blend of clay roof tiles from premier British
producer Dreadnought Tiles. Collingwood Blend is a mix of
Dreadnought’s Brown Heather and Country Brown tiles. For
this project they were mixed on site by an experienced
roofer but can also be supplied pre-mixed ready for
installation. Blending two or more tile colours delivers a
more individual and interesting finish to a roof. |
|
Developer Derek Cottrell was delighted with both the roof
tiles and Dreadnought: “They were brilliant to deal with and
we had fantastic service all the way through, which really
impressed me. Everyone has commented on how good the tiles
look. We are very pleased.” |
|
Dreadnought is one of the few
remaining independent British clay roof tile producers and
prides itself on offering a huge range of roof tile colours,
all of which are achieved without the use of stains, tints
or pigments. This gives the reassurance that the tiles will
not fade over time, rather mellow gracefully. |
