Decra, the first roofing company in the UK to win SBD accreditation, will top an unprecedented year of innovative product launches with its debut at BSEC08 at its new Manchester home. Decra to Debut at BSEC
Several of Decra’s flagship products will be shown on the stand (126, Manchester Central, formerly G-Mex, February 12-13) including the new Elegance tile which uses the same paint technology as Audi engineering.
Elegance adopts the Decra trend of an additional protective coating on the underside which is unique to the brand and gives it even greater longevity but has a powder coating on the upper surface as opposed to the traditional Decra granular coating.
Available in three satin finishes and a high-gloss elegant black, it is also the basis for dry- and cool-roof versions which have self-cleaning and heat-reflecting capabilities respectively.
Decra’s lightweight roof tiles were revolutionary when they were launched in this country and the company marked its 30th UK anniversary last year (2007) by becoming the first roofing systems supplier to win SBD (Secured By Design) accreditation.
The Elegance tile, as well as Decra’s existing Classic, Stratos and Decra Plus tiles and its cool and dry roof technologies, were all tested to LPS 1175 Level 1 with certification through the BRE. This means that Decra products are the only roofing ones in the UK that can be supplied to a Police Preferred Specification.
Decra tiles are easy to handle, quick to install, exceptionally durable and low maintenance. In fact, independent research for Decra has shown their steel tiles are up to 66% cheaper than other roofing systems based on a whole life costing basis.
