Ritchlight Ultra, a major new development in architectural
skylights by market leaders Brett Martin Daylight Systems,
introduces a fully thermally broken frame for the first time
in any skylight system. |
 |
| This
major addition to the Ritchlight range virtually eliminates
any additional heat loss through the frame, which is
traditionally associated with skylights, and eradicates any
cold spots, dramatically reducing the risk of condensation. |
| The
addition of a thermal break in the Ritchlight Ultra’s kerb
splits the aluminium structure of the high-performance
skylight into internal and external components. For the
first time this provides a skylight with a frame which
matches the performance of the glazing, which is available
in a range of options which enable specifiers to achieve
U-values up to 1.1W/m˛k – exceeding Part L Building
Regulation requirements by 50%. |
|
With a choice of pitched glazing
styles (including gable and hip ends, pyramid sky lights and
lantern bases) the Ritchlight Ultra is a versatile roof
lighting solution for use in the education, healthcare,
retail and residential sectors. |
|
The range is further
complemented by Brett Martin Daylight Systems’ unique supply
and fit service that covers site survey to bespoke
fabrication and final fixing, to give specifier and client
complete peace of mind. |
|
The Ritchlight Ultra is
available glazed in glass or structured polycarbonate. A
1.1W/m˛k U-value can be achieved using Brett Martin Daylight
Systems’ glass specification featuring a toughened outer,
12mm argon-filled cavity and a Low E laminated inner that
uses a soft-coated surface to the laminate. |
|
Alternative options include
Marlon 32mm XX wall polycarbonate (which has a U-value of
1.4W/m˛k), double glazed glass or Marlon 25mm 5
wall-structured polycarbonate that both have a U-value of
1.6W/m˛k. |
|
The number of glazing options is
complemented by ventilation preferences, all with internal
and external lines that are flush, enhancing the aesthetics
and eliminating unsightly insect traps. |
|
Ideal for modular units up to a
five-metre span, Ritchlight Ultra is pre-assembled to
eliminate defects. It is durable (has a 20-year guarantee
against leakage) and robust, with machined joints and fully
gasketted and welded kerbs. |
