Green Roof specialists Blackdown Horticultural Consultants
have strengthened their Sales and Marketing Team with the
recruitment of two key industry personnel. |
 |
| Mark
Harris has been appointed Sales and Marketing Director,
alongside new Area Sales Manager Tim Coleman. |
| Mark
Harris, previously of Sarnafil, has worked in the roofing
industry since 1987, with his experience spanning the single
ply, flat roofing and green roof markets. Mark has chaired
the SPRA for 8 years and was active in establishing the GRO
in 2008. |
|
Previously of Triflex UK, Tim
Coleman brings with him 15 years commercial and technical
experience in the flatroof waterproofing industry,
encompassing green roofing, single ply, cold applied
systems, bituminous membranes, asphalt and hot melt. |
|
Mark Harris is passionate about
the opportunities that green roofing presents to many
climate change issues and is aware of Blackdown’s unique
horticultural expertise. He comments, “The green roof
industry has changed immensely over the past decade with
Clients and Planning Authorities constraining more
developments to have green roofs. The demand for localised
planting and biodiverse specifications will continue to grow
as green roofs become more mainstream – these are the
applications where Blackdown’s specialist knowledge will
prove invaluable to specifiers, contractors and clients.
|
|
Mark adds, “Tim and I have a
clear understanding of the products and service-levels that
the market has come to expect and together with the
expertise at Blackdown I know we can make a significant
contribution to improving the built environment.” |
